Other Common Names: (a) Ipomoea Turpethum (b) Turbud
Usage: This herb was found to be a potent source of bioactive compounds which are reported to possess properties such as antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, pain relieving, lever protective, anti-arthritic, ulcer protective, antidiarrheal, antidiabetic, and cytotoxic properties. which are useful in fevers, edema, cervical lymphadenitis, constipation, ulcers, tumors, obesity, jaundice, skin disorders and many other diseases.
Nishod is also known to be helpful in respiratory issues including cough, nasal and lungs congestion etc. It is also an effective blood purifier and hence quite effective for skin diseases like itching etc.
