Charota (Cassia Tora)

Cassia Tora (or Cassia Obtusifolia) is a wild crop plant and is known for its significant medicinal value. It grows largely in the tropical regions of India and is considered very effective for Snake Bites. It also helps in removing intensive heat from the liver and improving vision, moisturizing intestine and easing the bowels.
Crushed seeds are soaked in water overnight and are given orally in the morning for 15 days in galactagogue. Seed paste is used on ringworm. Tea is prepared from seeds and given to patients of asthma. Young leaves are eaten raw to avoid throat infection and to increase vision.
